An experience created to celebrate two "icons" of the Super Tuscans phenomenon that have contributed to a turning point in Italian viticulture: Concerto di Fonterutoli, a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon from Fonterutoli, born in 1981, and Siepi, born in 1992 thank to Lapo Mazzei's intuition in blending Sangiovese and Merlot.
The wine tour includes a private visit to the Castello di Fonterutoli winery and a tasting of six wines, including three vintages of Concerto di Fonterutoli and three vintages of Siepi.
A delay of up to 20 minutes from the scheduled time is tolerated.
For delays exceeding 20 minutes, we cannot guarantee the cellar tour will take place.
Children under the age of 12 may participate free of charge.
Guests aged 12 to 18 and any other person not participating in the tasting: €25 per person (cellar tour only).

Forerunner of the Super Tuscans
Concerto di Fonterutoli
Concerto's first vintage was an outright experiment resulting in only 15 barriques - the very first barriques ever to be used at Fonterutoli - jealously guarded in our historic cellars for 18 months.
At the first tasting after all those months, the combination of the two varietals proved to be so perfectly balanced that they immediately brought to mind a symphony. In fact Marchesa Carla Mazzei was instantly prompted to christen the wine Concerto, a name that perfectly captures the harmony between the two cèpages.
