In 2025 at Zisola, the late-ripening grape varieties (Nero d'Avola and Catarratto) reached optimal maturity a few days later than average, especially Nero d'Avola, for which the delay amounted to about one week.
Harvesting began on August 26 with Grillo and concluded on October 20 with Nero d'Avola. The distinctive feature of this year, which also caused some interruptions during the harvest, was the unusually high summer rainfall, with two rainfall events of 50 mm each recorded. This resulted in grapes with moderate alcohol potential, which also benefited from excellent acidity levels—very positive characteristics for producing contemporary wines with great drinkability.
